Therefore, we strictly follow the SMART protocol guidelines outlined by the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology when removing old mercury fillings, including:

A 3D Cone Beam Scan is a unique three-dimensional X-ray that provides much more information than a conventional 2D X-ray and is the gold standard for looking for dental infections. Research has shown that 34% of all infections do not appear on a regular 2D X-ray. 3D imaging allows the doctor to see critical anatomic structures for implant placement and oral surgery, help evaluate old root canals, locate silent or hidden infection sites, and much more.
